RESOLVE: A fixity of purpose, fortitude, resoluteness.  A strong determination to do something.  A search for an answer, clarity, or understanding.  To become separated into component parts, reduced by dissolving or analysis.  To render parts of an image visible and distinct.  To progress from dissonance to consonance.  To find an answer or solution. To be settled in opinion. To be convinced.
